Who we are
This website, igmexteriorcleaning.co.uk, is run by Ray Spashett, trading as IGM Exterior Cleaning, a sole trader working across Teesside. Ray is the data controller for any personal data collected through this site. For any question about your data, please get in touch via the contact form.
The enquiry form on the homepage and the contact page is provided by LeadConnector. LeadConnector processes what you submit so it can be delivered to Ray. It is not sold or used for a mailing list.
What we collect
When you fill in the LeadConnector enquiry form we collect your name, contact details, roughly where the job is, the type of work you're asking about, and anything you add in your message. The form address can also include how you found the site, such as a campaign name or the page you landed on, so Ray can see where the enquiry came from. That note is kept in your browser for the visit only (session storage), not as a long-term cookie.
What we do with it
Your enquiry comes directly to Ray so he can get back to you, arrange a look at the job, and provide a no-obligation quote if you'd like one. Your details are used for that purpose only. They are not sold, passed to other businesses, or added to any marketing list without your say-so.
Legal basis
We process enquiry details to take steps at your request before a contract (handling your quote). We use Google Analytics on the basis of legitimate interests: seeing which pages are useful so the site stays relevant. You can opt out of analytics using the controls below, and you can object to that use by contacting us.
Analytics and cookies
This site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-JDVWF9N1TP) on every page. There is no cookie banner. Google Analytics sets cookies, including ones named _ga, and collects the pages you view, roughly where you are, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived. We use that to see which pages are useful. We do not sell this data and we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you. Google processes it under its own terms, and the cookie can recognise the same browser on a later visit.
You can opt out without contacting us:
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser, or turn on your browser's tracking protection.
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Read Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The LeadConnector form is loaded from leadconnectorhq.com. While you use it, LeadConnector may set its own cookies so the form can be submitted and the message delivered to Ray.
Retention
We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to handle your job and any follow-up, and delete them after that unless we're required to keep records for longer for accounting reasons.
Business outreach emails
We occasionally send a small number of emails to businesses across Teesside that may need commercial gutter, roof or exterior cleaning. If you received one, this section explains how we got your details and what we do with them.
Where your details came from: your name, job title, company and work email address were obtained from a business contact database (Smartlead) that compiles publicly available professional information. We only contact people at organisations, using work email addresses.
Why we use them: to introduce our commercial cleaning services and offer a free no-obligation quote. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we believe a short, relevant business email about building maintenance is something your organisation may reasonably expect, and it has minimal impact on you.
Who handles them: our email sending platform (Smartlead) and mailbox provider process the data on our behalf. It is not sold or shared with anyone else.
How long we keep them: if you don't reply, we delete your details within 6 months of our last email. If you ask us to stop, we keep only your email address on a suppression list so you are never contacted again.
Opting out: every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can simply reply asking us to stop. We will not email you again.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to restrict or object to how it's used. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how your data has been handled. To exercise any of these rights, get in touch via the contact form.
